Vagus Nerve Rejuvenation

 HISTORY

This new and unique healing modality has been the brain child of Nicola Farmer who knew she needed to create a holistic way to assist many people with rejuvenating their Vagus Nerve. She has spent many hours researching and following Universal Guidance and has now started to train practitioners to be able to share this beautiful healing technique with you.

The medical profession has and remains very quiet about this crucial nerve within the human body and yet it is a life force for every organ and human well being.

When this nerve is under stimulated it has the potential to affect many parts of your body, which in turn manifest as malfunction and/or disease. When it is functioning at optimum levels there is every probability that you can live as healthy human beings. The Vagus Nerve works with the Parasympathetic Nervous System and is the key to ‘Rest & Digest’.

We have two sides to our nervous system. There is the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). The SNS provokes our ‘fight or flight’ reaction. This is what saved the caveman from the big grizzly bear back in the day. Adrenaline and cortisol are both released into our systems helping us to act fast to save ourselves. Blood shoots to the muscles, the heart rate goes up and we are able to think quick to get ourselves out of a sticky situation. The PNS is the opposite to this. It’s our ‘rest and digest’ period. It is during this time that we are able to repair and restore ourselves, digest our food and absorb our nutrients.

Both the SNS and PNS are equally as important however, our stressors aren’t the grizzly bear anymore. Today’s stressors are the comment you just read on Facebook, the financial stress of your mortgage, the security of your job and the amount of emails in your inbox. In other words, the stressors we are faced with today, unlike the grizzly bear that came and went, are constant. There is little room for our bodies to switch from SNS to PNS mode.

Logically, it now makes sense that we have health issues developing like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).  Most of us are riding a SNS wave, living off adrenaline and cortisol and exhausting our adrenal glands and bodies. ‘Rest and digest’ has been left behind somewhere, maybe back where computers were invented and phones went cordless.
